The #88 GESS Capstone Honda finished the Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear doubleheader weekend with 12th place finishes on both Saturday and Sunday. Rookie Colton Herta qualified for Saturday’s dual in fifth position and for Sunday’s dual in fourth position.

“This weekend was bittersweet here in Detroit for the dual races,” said team president, Brian Barnhart. “It was nice to get back to a point where the #88 GESS Capstone Honda ran well and finished races, but also frustrating. Saturday was a great learning experience in the wet conditions as it was Colton’s first time driving an INDYCAR in the rain. And today was frustrating because we had a car that was better than what we showed. It’s nice to get back to finishing races compared to the run we had before this, but I think we were stronger than what our finishing position showed.” More >>
