The future is here. The Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts (Sanitation Districts) which manage municipal solid waste and wastewater are recycling the food waste they collect to meet power needs for wastewater treatment and to sell vehicle fuel to the public. The new part is that the Sanitation Districts recently started up a biogas purification system to recycle food waste into renewable vehicle fuel. More >>
