We’re excited to announce that Impact Bioenergy is now Chomp! Back in 2013 Impact Bioenergy was started to generate renewable energy from food waste. We were ahead of our time. Over 40% of the U.S. food supply is wasted each year, resulting in a carbon footprint greater than that of the global airlines industry. With some fresh funding, we are building Chomp to tackle this massive problem using anaerobic digestion, a long-proven natural process, which converts food waste into energy and biofertilizer.
