It’s back to the drawing board, again, regarding RFS waivers for small refineries as President Donald Trump has again heard the loud complaints from agricultural and biofuel stakeholders regarding the recent EPA announcement, approved by the president, to grant 31 waivers for the 2018 compliance year, siding with refiners. On Tuesday, Reuters reported Trump held a two-hour meeting on Monday with members of his Cabinet after hearing blowback from farmers’ groups and others over the decision. The president, again, was surprised at the pushback on the SRE exemptions. Trump now wants a review of the matter and wants to know what actions can be taken.
