This week, SoCalGas announced its bold commitment to achieve net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in its operations and delivery of energy by 2045. With this commitment, SoCalGas becomes the largest gas distribution utility in North America to set a net zero target that includes scopes 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions.  The net zero target means SoCalGas would eliminate not only the company’s own direct emissions, but also those generated by our customers.  By 2045, our fleet vehicles, the buildings we own, the pipelines we operate and the fuel we deliver to our 22 million customers across Southern California will be net zero emissions. The commitment also includes a pledge to deliver 20% renewable natural gas by 2030. More >>
