CenterPoint Energy has proposed to purchase pipeline-quality RNG (including environmental attributes) for its Minnesota gas utility as part of its first Innovation Plan under the Minnesota Natural Gas Innovation Act. The plan was filed on June 28th, 2023, and is being reviewed in Minnesota Public Utilities Commission proceedings (available at https://mn.gov/puc/edockets in docket number 23-215), with a decision anticipated in summer or fall 2024. In preparation for future execution of this plan, if approved, CenterPoint Energy intends to release a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking supply of RNG.
