[BioCycle] The North State Rendering digester in California was originally set up to process food waste and FOG. They’ve had quite a run of figuring out depackaging, how to adjust the system to food waste contamination, the CA food waste recycling law, and solids in their digestate that are lower than they’d like. For energy, they have both an engine and gas upgrading and compressing system from ABC member Unison. The gas is used with their trucks and they’re seeking local fleets to fuel as well, but currently much of the gas isn’t utilized. More >>
