In just one year, the world´s first commercial plant to produce e-methane from biogas was built and has been operational since October 2023. The system increases the production of biogas via electrolysis and biological methanation. The electrolysis plant converts excess electricity from the sun and wind into hydrogen that is fed into Biogasclean´s biological methanation system that converts the CO2 from the raw biogas and the hydrogen to methane.
