The biggest spectacle in racing, and in non-pandemic years, the biggest sporting event in the world, the Indianapolis 500, will run this Sunday, at 2:30pm ET on NBC. For the second year in a row, Capstone Turbines will be featured on the #88 Gleaners Honda piloted by Colton Herta for Steinbrenner Andretti Racing. With half of his finishes this season in the top 5, Herta is ranked 7th in the championship standings and will be starting 10th in the field of 33 drivers. In fact all of the Andretti team cars are starting in the top 10, setting up for an exciting race. Capstone’s #ShiftToGreen initiative will also get a front seat as they and the team push for more awareness of the benefits of renewable energy, including Capstone’s biogas- and RNG-fueled microturbines which reduce emissions in a variety of distributed energy projects.
