SJI is the title sponsor of the largest biogas and RNG tradeshow in North America

WASHINGTON – MARCH 31, 2026 – As the U.S. biogas industry continues to expand, BIOGAS AMERICAS will bring nearly 2,000 professionals to Detroit this May at the Huntington Place Convention Center for North America’s largest biogas and RNG tradeshow and conference. The event will convene project developers, operators, utilities, investors, technology providers, policymakers, and waste and wastewater professionals from across the continent to supply training and education, biogas industry data, and create networking opportunities. SJI, a developer of RNG projects across multiple feedstocks, will serve as the title sponsor.

The event will feature over 300 exhibitors across 35,000 square feet of exhibit space, and ten educational programs surrounded by an additional 27 hours of networking events, all designed to connect stakeholders across the biogas value chain.

A keynote panel, “New Horizons & Current Challenges in Shaping America’s Biogas Economy,” led by Starlee Sykes of Archaea Energy, Lizzy Reinholt of Summit Utilities, Rashi Akki of Ag-Grid Energy, Lauren Toretta of CH4 Biogas, and Skye Austin of StarkTech will kick off the event.

Ten educational sessions at BIOGAS AMERICAS will feature a robust lineup of over 50 industry experts and cover offtake markets, maritime, carbon accounting, food waste co-digestion and more.

“BIOGAS AMERICAS brings the industry together to share market insights, technical solutions, policy progress, strengthen partnerships, and build more biogas projects. Having the support of SJI as the conference’s title sponsor helps the ABC deliver everything attendees are looking for,” said the ABC’s Executive Director Patrick Serfass.

“We are proud to serve as the title sponsor for BIOGAS AMERICAS, the premier forum for industry leaders to collaborate on the future of biogas,” said Chet Benham, President, Renewable Energy Ventures, SJI. “And we look forward to engaging with industry leaders on innovative ways to drive growth in RNG solutions.”
